Hi, I’m Chawintee (Tob).

I’m a duct installer in Australia with a mechatronic engineering degree from Thailand, looking for my next role as an HVAC technician.

About me

I graduated in mechatronic engineering in Thailand, and I love both HVAC and electrical work. I’m installing ductwork in Australia now, and my next goal is a role as an HVAC technician, where I can grow my hands-on skills in air conditioning and electrical systems.

My engineering background helps me understand how a system is designed, how it is built, and how it should run, including the electrical and control side. I work safely, keep the site clean, and enjoy learning every new skill.

CATIA, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Figma, jig design, and durability, NVH, and battery testing.

Software

Svelte, SvelteKit, NestJS, MongoDB, Keycloak, Docker, Linux, Git, Agile teamwork, plus C and PLC ladder logic.

My experience

  1. Duct installer (casual), Simple Air Conditioning

Install flexible and spiral duct, rooftop and indoor HVAC units, dryer and exhaust ducting, fire dampers, and exhaust fans. Build platforms and supports, measure, cut, and fit duct to spec with airtight seals, and coordinate crane lifts for rooftop condensers.

Sites: Eastern Creek Quarter, Gate Gourmet, Bankstown Centre, Sydney Eye Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital, Stockland Piccadilly, Marketfair Campbelltown, 320 Pitt St, Westfield Sydney, David Jones Wollongong, Castle Towers, Westpac Haymarket, 135 King St, The Galleries

  2. Putty line and strapping worker (casual), Porta Plywood

Inspected timber for defects, filled holes with putty, and strapped and protected bundles for export to New Zealand while keeping quality standards high.

  3. Metal grinder and general labourer (casual), STY Steel

Ground and cleaned steel, cut it to length from job specs, and operated a forklift to move and load steel safely.

  4. Air conditioning trade assistant (casual), Facilities Cooling & Heating

Assisted tradespeople installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning across Victoria. Installed ductwork and flexible duct, helped install split and ducted systems, replaced a ceiling AHU, lifted outdoor units with a crane, and helped with nitrogen pressure testing of refrigerant lines, following WHS standards.

Sites: Dorean, Brighton, Diamond Creek, Craigieburn, Carlton North, Campbellfield, Greenborough

  5. Food delivery driver, DoorDash

Delivered orders using GPS and delivery apps, with reliable customer service and on-time delivery.

  6. Cabinet maker and shop fitting (training), 96 Building

Cut MDF and applied edging on a CNC machine, then assembled, delivered, and installed cabinets on site.

  7. Farm, glasshouse, and packing work, Victoria

Picked strawberries at Fresh Berry, cared for glasshouse tomatoes at Goodness Grown, stacked fruit at Legacy Packing, and drove a John Deere tractor for drip tape work at GO.FARM. Also worked as a vine loader at Hop Products Australia and a grape cutter in East Victoria.

  8. Software developer, Hi-Q Food Products

Maintained a user management system end to end, from requirements and Figma designs to a Svelte front end and NestJS and MongoDB back end. Built a budget management app with SvelteKit, Keycloak sign-in, Quill, and AG-Grid, and deployed on-premise with Docker on Linux.

  9. Battery testing engineer, GS Yuasa Asia Technical Center

Tested battery capacity, endurance life through accelerated cycle testing, and vibration endurance, and reported results to the engineering team.

  10. Testing engineer, Mitsuba Asia R&D

Ran durability tests on fan motor parts (strength, electrical, noise and vibration, water resistance), managed monthly test plans, and designed test jigs in CATIA.

  11. Support engineer, Siam Daikin Sales

Trained HVAC technicians on VRV installation and troubleshooting, designed air conditioning systems for sales, surveyed sites for duct installation, and estimated installation costs and payback periods. Completed SkyAir installation training at Daikin Industry Thailand.

  12. Engineering intern, OMRON Automotive Electronic

Learned the full R&D cycle, made 3D CAD models and drawings in AutoCAD, learned plastic injection moulding on the production floor, wrote a user manual for the environmental test chamber, and observed sensor and ECU assembly lines.
